A little bit about Jasper ….

Described as contented, happy, and busy.  A very lovable wee boy who loves his toys and plays well.  Jasper has a very friendly temperament, he’s eager to explore but he’s not very brave! He has loads of energy and manages a 6 mile walk no problem. He does settle well, and likes being a lap dog.

Energy Requirements

Jasper loves his walks and is very eager to explore. He’s a busy boy and his tail is constantly wagging. He does feel the cold and likes a cosy coat.

Training

Jasper sits well and comes when called. His recall is good, and he walks very well on an extendable lead.

Visiting the vet:

Jasper has been health-checked and has no known health issues and is in good very condition. A very healthy looking dog, clean ears and eyes, and a lovely coat.

Travelling:  Jasper is used to travelling in the back seat, on a bed, with a harness clipped on.

Food: He has a healthy appetite, and is fed twice a day, currently on Harringtons Salmon Kibble. Like most spaniels, he enjoys the odd treat.

Sleep:  Jasper sleeps in the kitchen, currently with other dogs, and is crate trained. He settles well during the night and if left for short periods during the day.

Behavioural issues

No behavioural issues. He barks if the door goes, or someone comes in, and if he hears children or dogs outside. He will bark at the TV if dogs or animal are on, and at birds in the garden. He sometimes chases his tail.

Home needs:

Jasper is a happy, very friendly wee boy. He would like an active home with someone around most of the day. He is used to living with other dogs and would be fine with older children. He would also be fine being the centre of attention. He has a very friendly nature. He can be left for short periods. He does like his interesting walks.

Ongoing support: Springer Rescue for Scotland will be available for any support with your new dog and can offer behavioural support in case of any problems that may arise on adopting a dog.
