A little bit about Max….  Max is a very friendly happy dog; he is described as contented happy and boisterous. He will make a great companion.

Energy Requirements:  Max needs regular exercise to reduce his weight and build up his muscles. His family were unable to exercise him latterly.

Training:  Max knows most commands……. he pulls on the lead at first but settles quickly. He has good recall.

Visiting the vet: Max has had his routine SRS health check and all is well. He has been treated for an ear infection and if it recurs, SRS will support that post-adoption. He is currently a bit overweight due to not getting enough exercise. His fosterers are gradually increasing his exercise and monitoring his diet.

Travelling:  Max travels well in the car, in the boot with a dog guard.

Food: Max is currently being fed on dry food with a little cooked mince or venison….   he likes treats……

Sleep:  Max sleeps in the kitchen and is quite happy there. 

Behavioural issues:  Max has only one bad habit  – he barks to welcome you home! 

Home needs: Max lived with another dog quite happily and is currently in foster with another spaniel. He would be fine on his own or with another friendly dog. He would be fine with older children. He would like a nice safe garden to play in, ideally in a location with good walks nearby. 

Ongoing support: Springer Rescue for Scotland will be available for any support with your new dog and can offer behavioural support in case of any problems that may arise on adopting a dog.
