A little bit about Kim - Kim is a happy youngster, she is a very calm, gentle and obedient little dog. She can be quite timid in new situations or when meeting new people and dogs. She has a lovely temperament and is very well trained. She loves her walks and lots of cuddles. She is quite dependant and will make a lovely companion for someone.
Energy Requirements: Kim needs at least 2 good walks a day, as well as some garden time, and some training time.
Training: Kim has been trained to walk to heel, she doesn’t pull on the lead, and her recall is excellent. She is very well behaved in the house.
Visiting the vet: Kim has had her routine health check and is healthy with a lovely shiny coat, and very good teeth. She is up to date with her vaccinations. She is very quiet and a bit scared at the vet so needs lots of reassurance. A gravy bone helps!
Travelling: Kim is nervous in the car; she has not been used to travelling much by car so her new owners will need to be patient and build her confidence up.
Food: Kim currently is fed on kibble twice a day, and she enjoys healthy treats.
Sleep: Kim prefers to sleep on the floor rather than her bed. She currently sleeps in the kitchen with her foster sisters.
Behavioural issues: None. Just a bit timid.
Home needs: Kim needs a quiet, calm but active home. She might do best as the only dog in the house although she has been fine living with 2 other Springers in foster care. She doesn’t play with other dogs. She needs regular exercise and a secure garden to play ball in. She will need someone around most of the time. Kim will be adopted with a contract to be neutered after her next season.
Ongoing support: Springer Rescue for Scotland will be available for any support with your new dog and can offer behavioural support in case of any problems that may arise on adopting a dog
