A little bit about Mia – Mia is a very contented and happy dog, she is very friendly and loves people. She enjoys her walks, and also loves pottering around the garden. She likes to play with toys.
Energy Requirements: Mia is currently getting 1 walk, for about an hour along the canal.
Training: Mia pulls on the lead but is better with a Halti. Her recall is quite good. She will sit, give a paw, spin, and can balance treats.
Visiting the vet: Mia has had her healthcheck, and her vaccinations have been brought up to date. She injured her left hind paw many years ago and this sometimes gives her some discomfort. Mia gets sore paws if she eats bread, toast or digestive biscuits.
Travelling: Mia travels well in the car on short journeys, attached with a harness and seat belt on the back seat. She can get a bit stressed on longer journeys.
Food: Mia is currently fed Dr john silver senior dry food a scoop at night time and a hand full in the morning .
Sleep: Mia sleeps well, she is currently sleeping on her dog bed at the top of the stairs.
Behavioural issues: Mia has a degree of separation anxiety, but her fosterer has been working on this and she can now be left for up to 2 hours with no issues.
Home needs: Mia would like a quiet home with someone around most of the time. She likes interesting walks with lots of sniff opportunities. She would like a safe garden to potter in. She would be fine with another friendly quiet dog.
Ongoing support: Springer Rescue for Scotland will be available for any support with your new dog and can offer behavioural support in case of any problems that may arise on adopting a dog.
