Hi, I’m Bailey! I’m a fantastic big boy who loves everyone he meets. A very lovely, sweet, and playful boy. I’m very intelligent and full of energy, and I thrive on attention and love being around you!

Energy Requirements: I love my walks but I do pull on the lead. I walk better with a Gentle Leader.  I love pottering outdoors in the garden but I like to see where you are. I’m not so keen on being left on my own at the moment. I have been to a secure dog park and was off-lead having great fun. I don’t wander very far away from you and respond to a whistle.

Training: I am house trained and will let you know when I need to go outside. I am also crate trained but only go in when I want to. I am a quick learner and looking forward to learning more once I’m adopted.

Visiting the vet: I have had my healthcheck which went well, the nice vet gave me gravy bones so she could listen to my heart. I have been recently neutered and I’m up to date with my vaccinations.

Travelling: I love the car, and travel in a crate in the boot. I would stay there all day watching the world go by.

Food: I have a healthy appetite and eat twice a day. I love my food and when I see you preparing it I woof! I will sit and wait until it’s put in front of me. I was overweight when I first came in to foster but a careful diet and gradually increasing my exercise has brought my weight down. Still a wee bit to go!

Sleep: I sleep well, I like to sleep anywhere, but I don’t like closed doors. I am crate trained but only go in when I want to, and I like the door to be left open.

Behavioural issues: As mentioned before, I am absolutely adorable and so sweet and loving. I just need someone who will be patient with me and love me.

Home needs: I would like to be in a rural or semi-rural setting, to continue my training as I’m very intelligent and learn quickly. I need a home that is very experienced with spaniels. No cats please, as we don’t see eye to eye.  I would be fine with another very friendly dog but may be better on my own so I don’t have to compete for attention.

Ongoing support: Springer Rescue for Scotland will be available for any support with your new dog and can offer behavioural support in case of any problems that may arise on adopting a dog.
