A little bit about Una: SRS Una is a very busy, happy wee dog. She is friendly and confident and keen to explore her world. She has lots of energy but will also settle well. She responds well to commands and likes lots of attention.
Home Life: She loves her walks but can pull on the lead. She is better on a short lead. Her recall is good. She loves to explore everything.
She has been living with other dogs in foster and generally gets on fine with them and wants to play. She can be a bit bossy at times if over-stimulated. She is good meeting other dogs on walks.
She loves to carry her ball and is never without a toy in her mouth.
She eats well, twice a day, and likes treats between meals and at bedtime. She doesn’t like to share her food though.
Una travels well in the car, in a crate. She sleeps in her crate at night, and sometimes voluntarily goes in during the day for a wee lie down.
Visiting the vet: Una has had her routine healthcheck and no issues were noted. She is a healthy weight and is up to date with her vaccinations. She was confident and friendly. She will be adopted with a contract to be spayed after her next season.
Behavioural issues: None reported. She does need more dog socialisation to understand body language. She will occasionally counter surf.
Home needs: SRS Una would like an active home with lots of interesting walks and adventures to be had. A secure garden is essential. She would like someone around most of the time. She would be fine with another friendly, similarly aged dog but would also be fine on her own lapping up all the attention. She has lived with young children but can be quite bouncy so 6 years +.
Ongoing support: Springer Rescue for Scotland will be available for any support with your new dog and can offer behavioural support in case of any problems that may arise on adopting a dog.
