A little bit about Cooper: Cooper is an absolute delight to have around. He is a gentle, playful and inquisitive dog who just loves to give and be given attention. He thrives on being part of the family and loves to be part of everything that’s going on.
He loves playing with any toy, but balls are his favourite. He will play catch, go fetch or even the odd game of football all day long. He is also a keen swimmer and loves being in any water but the muddier the better. Out on walks Cooper is often admired by passers-by and is considered a handsome wee man.

Home Life: Cooper is at his happiest being active and loves getting out and about. He currently enjoys a long walk around lunchtime and two smaller walks in the morning and evening. In the park he does pull on his lead especially when he sees water but on pavements in town he walks well. He is not bothered by traffic noise or new environments and generally seems to take everything in his stride. He is fully house trained, sleeps in his bed all night and travels well in the car. He is quite a calm dog who settles well indoors and is content to relax on the rug beside you. He loves dinner time and especially loves getting treats for being a good boy.

Cooper currently lives happily with another dog. He is interested in meeting other dogs and humans out on his walks and is always keen to say hello. He isn’t so good at sharing his toys but will if asked and responds well to commands. His recall is very good but not if he sees a cat and is likely to chase it.

Cooper was an anxious wee boy when he first arrived at his foster home but with a lot of cuddles and lots of love, he gained confidence and is now a fantastic spaniel to have around. He would certainly love a home with a garden as he loves to snuffle around and having another dog around would be a bonus.

Visiting the vet: Cooper has had his routine healthcheck and is fit and well. His vaccinations are up to date. The vet advised against neutering at the moment as he is quite a nervous boy but is gaining confidence during his time in foster.

Behavioural issues:  None

Home needs: Cooper would like an active but calm home, with someone around most of the time. A secure garden and lots of interesting walks would be ideal. No cats. Older children would be fine.  Another dog for company would be fine.

Ongoing support: Springer Rescue for Scotland will be available for any support with your new dog and can offer behavioural support in case of any problems that may arise on adopting a dog.
