A little bit about Bella – Bella is a very loving and affectionate girl. Loves her walks and then to snuggle up beside you. She is also a very clever girl, with some basic obedience. Despite her age, Bella is still quite fit and active and enjoys a good walk. Her favourite thing in the world? Belly rubs! She’ll give you a little bark to let you know she’s ready for some more love.
Current routine: Bella is fed twice a day, and is walked in the mornings, in the afternoon and again in the evening. She likes the odd nap in between walks.
Energy Requirements: Bella still enjoys her walks, when on the lead she will avoid other dogs, and will bark at them on occasion but is not aggressive. She is currently walked 3 times a day (morning, afternoon & evening).
Training: Bella walks well on the lead and has good recall. She likes regular walks and can be let off the lead in safe spaces once you have established a relationship and you are confident of her recall. She has basic obedience training, can sit, stay, lie down, roll over etc.
Visiting the vet: Bella has had her routine healthcheck, she was a bit nervous at the vets but settled well with some treats from the staff. She has a few lumps and bumps typical of her age, but nothing to worry about. She is up to date with her vaccinations. She will be adopted with a contract for her to be spayed after her next season. She is quite sprightly for her age.
Travelling: Bella travels well, clipped into a seat belt.
Food: Bella is currently fed kibble with wet food twice a day plus a daily carrot.
Sleep: Likes to be close to her people, sleeps at the bottom of the bed.
Behavioural issues: None noted.
Home needs: Bella would thrive in a home where she can enjoy daily strolls, lots of affection, and a cozy spot to nap. Someone around most of the day would be ideal. She would be fine with children 8 years+. She has lived with another dog but would equally be fine as the only dog getting all the attention.
Ongoing support: Springer Rescue for Scotland will be available for any support with your new dog and can offer behavioural support in case of any problems that may arise on adopting a dog
