Our Pledge to Long Term Foster Dogs.

When a dog is placed in our care at SRS our promise to its previous owners is that we will ensure that every spaniel will find a loving home. After a period of initial adjustment and assessment in the care of our excellent foster homes, most dogs move happily on to their forever home with their new family carefully matched with the dogs needs by the SRS rehoming team.

Some dogs, however, require longer term fostering within the care of SRS often due to medical issues which require intensive input from vets, physios and the families who are providing a safe haven for these dogs. Our long term foster homes are provided by a very special set of people who are willing to provide an unwavering commitment to providing a joyful and fulfilling home to those dogs who may have an uncertain and challenging future ahead.

Springer Rescue for Scotland in turn provides an enhanced level of financial and behavioural support for these special dogs so that they can remain in a safe, compassionate environment in a stable loving home for the rest of their lives. We rely on the generous donations made to Springer Rescue for Scotland to ensure that these dogs are able to maintain their joyful, comfortable lives in their long term foster homes for as long as they live.

We are always looking for more of these wonderful homes where all dogs who are entrusted into our care, whatever their circumstances, are given the love and compassion they require however long or short their lives may be. In the coming days, we would like to share with you some of the stories of our beautiful dogs currently in long term foster homes with our brilliant long term fosterers.
