A little bit about Rosie – Rosie is a happy little dog, very friendly and affectionate. She is very sociable with people and dogs. Settles well when visiting other homes. Barks at noises ie doorbell but tail wagging, just excited. Doesn't jump up on people.
Energy Requirements: Rosie needs regular interesting walks, she particularly likes playing ball and will bring it back time and time again. She would be ideal for children as loves to play. Drops and leaves ball when asked.
Training: Rosie is a lovely well-behaved dog who has had some training. She can sit and stay and would respond well to further training. Rosie is completely toilet trained and will get your attention by being restless when she needs to toilet.
Visiting the vet: Rosie has had her health check and is fit and healthy. Her vaccinations are being brought up to date. She has never been professionally groomed and isn't too keen on being brushed but her coat is in very good condition.
Travelling: Rosie hasn’t been in the car very often in her last home and is not very used to it. She has done short journeys in the back seat without a problem in foster care.
Food: Rosie is currently being fed Wagg Active, and she likes treats such as Gravy Bones and Bonios.
Sleep: Rosie has been sleeping in a dog bed but likes to sleep on top of your bed.
Behavioural issues: None reported.
Home needs: Rosie needs an active home with someone around most of the time. She can be left for short periods. She would love a rural or semi-rural location where she can explore, such as forest walks or beach walks. A secure garden to play in would be good. She would be fine with older children, another friendly dog/s, and has lived with a cat.
Ongoing support: Springer Rescue for Scotland will be available for any support with your new dog and can offer behavioural support in case of any problems that may arise on adopting a dog.
