A little bit about Marley: He is a canny wee soul. He likes to play, and gives major cuddles and kisses. He loves playing with toys and balls. (Toys will be ripped up if left with him)
More about Marley: he is house trained, there have been no accidents while he has been in foster. He is happy enough when left alone, with no issues. He previously slept in the kitchen but since being in foster he goes to bed with his fosterers. He walks well on the lead, with no issues, he is not a puller.
At the park he has been on a longline. He stays close unless scenting deer then wants to find them. He has not been off-lead while in foster but his recall is reported to be “selective”.
He has no real interest in other dogs, he will sniff, say hello, then goes about his own business, no aggression. He has seen horses and was not bothered. He is wary of cats.
Marley knows a few commands and likes playing Ball. He loves exploring in the woods, and trips to the beach. He loves people and will make a lovely companion for his new home.
Visiting the vet: Marley has had his routine health check. He was well behaved at the vets, even putting up with getting his glands done. He is up to date with his vaccinations and is fit and healthy. He can’t tolerate chicken or turkey in his diet. He loves a raw carrot as a treat.
Behavioural issues: No issues reported.
Home needs: Marley would like a reasonably active home with someone around most of the time. He loves pottering around the garden, and playing ball, so a secure garden would be ideal. Interesting walks close by would be good. Older children would be fine. He would be happy as the only dog in the home but would also be fine with another friendly dog after an introduction.
Ongoing support: Springer Rescue for Scotland will be available for any support with your new dog and can offer behavioural support in case of any problems that may arise on adopting a dog.
