A little bit about Archie – he is a contented, happy, quiet boy, with no major issues. He is quite laid back for a Springer.
Energy Requirements. Archie is currently walked walked 2×30 minute walks per day. Additional longer walks 3 × a week.
Training: Archie pulls on the lead and his fosterers have been working on this. His recall needs some work. He is very interested in birds!
Travelling: Archie is a good traveller, with a harness clipped on in the back seat, or in the boot of a hatchback.
Visiting the vet: Archie has had his routine health check and is fit and healthy for his age. He has been brought up to date with his vaccinations. He was quite nervous in the veterinary surgery but very well behaved.
Archie will be adopted with a contract to be neutered once he is settled.
Food: Archie is currently fed Orlando moist and meaty, morning and evening.
Sleep: Archie sleeps in his own dog bed in the fosterer’s bedroom.
Behavioural issues: No behavioural issues reported.
Home needs: Archie would like a calm home, with someone around most of the time. He enjoys his walks and regular exercise and would need a very secure garden to play in. He is a bit of an escape artist! He would be fine with older children. He would be fine as the only dog in the home and would also be fine with another friendly dog for company.
Ongoing support: Springer Rescue for Scotland will be available for any support with your new dog and can offer behavioural support in case of any problems that may arise on adopting a dog
Please do not express interest in Archie if you are going on holiday in the next 6-8 weeks. Archie will not be going to his new home until after the festive period.
