Working Homes
The majority of our Springers are re-homed happily into loving family homes. However occasionally we will have a dog that, because of breeding or upbringing, will need something a bit different. Some Springers have such strong working drives that they will never be happy as a family pet, even with lots of love and exercise. Often they will need to go to a home where they can use those drives in regular work, or where there is a genuine commitment to provide a lifetime programme of agility, obedience, scenting training etc.
We have a number of very experienced gundog trainers based throughout Scotland who are assisting us with working dog assesments to make sure that young dogs will be suitable for working homes, and that dogs that come to us as having working experience are checked out to find out what levels of training they have.
If you feel that you can provide a working home, if you have already registered with us to adopt, and you see a dog on this page that you would like to know more about, please get in touch on 07875 140485, or contact . If you are not yet registered with us, but feel that you could offer a special home, then please come and find out more by visiting our How to Adopt page.
