Ollie is a very handsome young boy who is very obedient to commands, enjoys his off-lead walks and has excellent recall. In his foster home he is an only dog but he has lived happily with other dogs. Ollie thrives on exercise, enjoys swimming and playing ball. He is very good with toys and if he doesn't want to give up a toy will trade you for it. Ollie has 3 deformed feet caused by a problem before birth and while they do not cause him any difficulty with walking he doesn't like them being touched. For this reason, we would like to see him rehomed to an adult only home. To keep him happy, Ollie will require an active home with experienced springer owners. He is a lovely boy and his foster Mum says he is a joy to care for.

Hello everyone, my name is Diesel, I am 4 years old and I'm sorry to say I have had quite a bad start in life which has left me frightened of quite a few things, but since I came to live with my foster mum she has been helping me get over my fears. For the first time in my life I can run and run and run and I love it, I have been chasing squirrels, the wee blighters are very fast,:O) and my favourite pastime when I am out is SNIFFING, wow, so many smells I have never smelt before. I can also sit nicely and I am learning, something called recall, where my teacher keeps calling me back, but I get something nice to eat every time I come back; this recall is easy peasy, but after all the hard work training I love lying in my bed staring out the window watching the world go by. Because of what has happened to me in the past I can get frightened very easily and don't like lots of people in the house. I am also frightened of cars, and my foster mum is working with me on this, because once I'm in the car, I know I am going somewhere nice. My wish is that I can find a very experienced spaniel home with someone who will have patience and work with me to overcome my fear-based issues, which can result in some aggressive behaviours. The people at SRS say they will work with my new owner and me to help overcome my fears. Can you be my new mum? Diesel X

Chloe is an adorable 3 year old who becomes very stressed in new situations and when left alone. She shows a number of different behaviours when under stress which will require the new owner working with Chloe to help her overcome these fears. Chloe is vocal if scared and needs someone to sit with her until she feels safe again which can take a while. Although crate trained Chloe can bark for a while before settling. A secure garden is a must as she will try to escape via any holes in a fence or by jumping a fence, she will chase cats and not answer when chasing. Chloe needs a home where the family have the experience to know how to patiently improve her confidence. She would also benefit from agility, working trials or training classes as she is very intelligent and as she learns more behaviours that elicit rewards she will grow in confidence. She loves the car, travels well and shows no stress when left in the car even for extended periods of time. While this might sound negative and hard work the rewards in helping Chloe attain her full potential will be immense.

Piobaireachd has come into Springer Rescue with a severely fractured elbow and has undergone extensive surgery to repair it. He has left the vets and has moved to his foster home. He will require 6 weeks cage rest and 6 weeks gentle walking and substantial rehabilitation including hydrotherapy. Piobaireachd was a fully trained working dog, but because of the severity of his injury will no longer be able to work.

Hello everyone! My name is Bonnie and I am around three years old. I am very contented in the house and my foster mums says I have good manners and I am obedient around the house. However my idea of heaven is the great outdoors - where every last sniff and smell must be investigated. My recall is variable depending on how good the sniffs are and I do pull on the lead however my foster mum tells me this is improving. I have a very high prey drive and I have been really quick and managed to catch things! I would prefer to be the only dog as I am very unsure and don't like it when other dogs get too close to me and invade my space. I do play with my foster brother but if I have had enough of him I tell him off so any dog I would share with would have to be really easy going and laid back. I do bark more than my foster brother does my mum says. I am looking for a forever home and my ideal home would be as the only dog with someone who enjoys the outdoors as much as I do.

Honey is a 3 year old liver & white bitch. She is very bouncy and likes lots of attention. She can be competitive for attention and guards bones/chews against other dogs. She sometimes barks at strange dogs, is not good around livestock, and can jump 5' fences, so would be best suited to a house with no other dog in a town or city environment. Honey gets on fine with people. She is slender and fast, and pulls on the lead quite a lot; she currently walks with a Dogmatic head collar. Her recall is untried but we feel it is not good. She is affectionate and likes cuddling up on the sofa.

My name is Olly and I'm a 7 month old Sprolly (my dad was a Springer and my mum a Collie ) I am really affectionate and I like other dogs and cats and I'm told I am great with children. Candy's foster mum says "She is a lovely girl. We are working on fattening her up as she is very slim. She loves sniff and find and plenty of running around. Candy loves company and craves attention. She is a bit insecure and won't go far from your side in a new environment. Recall is very good but training needs to be worked on. She pulls on the lead. She wets if she gets worried. This sometimes happens if you ask her to sit inside. Candy is a lovely lively young thing. She's so happy to see us first thing and is like a child at Christmas on our morning walk so many exciting smells and places to run around. Her tail is like a helicopter spinning. Other dogs don't bother her ....she's smart and she knows which ones to give a wide berth....Candy needs a home where her training will continue, the home should be a calm, quiet environment as she is very nervous of raised voices and can have accidents.

Hello. My name is Krypto (but that could easily be changed, possibly Pip or Gyp)? My foster mum says I am stunningly handsome and very, very special and I must say I do agree with her! I love my walks playing with balls and swimming in the Country Park or on the beach. I get on well with other dogs and love meeting new people. I am excellent with children and take no notice of horses, donkeys, highland cattle or sheep. My recall is excellent - in fact, so am I. I am looking for a family that loves long walks away from traffic and maybe children who will play ball with me. Cookie is a 5 year old male springer spaniel. He is a gentle dog verging at times on the timid. He has reasonable recall in that he will in general return on being called but at times will simply stop and wait for you to come to him. He is very active and enjoys his walks. He is always keen to be carrying something when walking including at the same time his ball, two or three sticks and a water bottle. He again generally walks well on his lead but would benefit from additional work on this area. He was previously allowed on furniture but has adapted quickly to not being allowed up. In short he is a great dog who loves human company and attention.

Banksy is a very handsome 9 month old springer. He has not had the best start in life due to people misunderstanding what a young springer needs. He is affectionate and playful but can be a bit over exuberant at times so needs discipline. He pulls on the lead just like any springer but will take a telling in a leader. Recall is patchy and needs some work as does his basic training. He will sit but that’s about it! Forby that he is a very special dog. Just a puppy that needs to be given time and space to mature and training to educate him. He has recently been castrated so this should calm him down a bit. He is a cheeky dog with loads of character but so loving too. He would like a home with another dog that will play with him please. He loves exercise and will run all day. He is such a happy dog who gets on fine with other dogs and just wants to play. If you are an experienced springer family can you give Banksy that loving forever home????
